A former stand-up comedian and star of hidden-camera shows (NBC’s “Spy TV,” Fox’s “Invasion of the Hidden Cameras,” the Sci Fi Channel’s “Scare Tactics”), Jeff Norman is now galvanizing a bold cultural revival fueled by unique collaborations with world-class artists, authors and activists who are committed to significantly improving life in America and the world. Jeff and his colleagues connect the dots between sustainability, national security, media, government and psychology. By confronting disinformation, promoting civic engagement and having fun in the process, they inspire public-spirited leaders and allies to overcome the most pressing problems of our time while maintaining happy and successful lives.
Jeff writes for The Huffington Post and Citizen Jeff (his own blog), and speaks widely – usually with a heavy dose of humor – about the rule of law and free speech issues at town meetings, conferences, colleges, coffee houses and nightclubs. He frequently serves as the emcee or moderator at events ranging from panel discussions to author presentations to comedy shows. Jeff also produces public forums, creates content for various media platforms and provides communications services for nonprofit organizations, public interest campaigns and commercial projects in all phases of development.
In 2008 Jeff founded The Veterans Project, a nonprofit campaign which supports organizations that help veterans – primarily those who fought in Iraq and/or Afghanistan – reintegrate into society when they come home. Its mission is to remove the stigma associated with post-traumatic stress, and raise operating funds for organizations providing veterans with psychological care and job training in the aftermath of war. Bruce Springsteen has contributed a song to a CD compilation to be released in 2010 by The Veterans Project.
